M4 | Berkshire | Eastbound | Overturned HGV | Road closed

The M4 eastbound in Berkshire is closed between junctions 13 and 12 due an overturned HGV. The HGV has since been recovered but the road is still closed while emergency repairs are underway. There is extensive damage to the road surface.

A diversion route is in place:
Road users approaching the closure at junction 13 may exit the motorway and follow the 'hollow black circle' diversion symbol. Join the A34 and the A339 southbound towards Newbury. At Newbury, join the A4 eastbound towards Theale via Thatcham and Woolhampton, to then re-join the M4 at junction 12.

Despite the diversion route, road users can expect long delays in this area and should allow plenty of extra time for their journey.
